I’ve been tossing around the idea of starting up an online radio station when I get back to the States. If I do, I am in need of supporters and/or program DJs. I plan on having it broadcast 24/7 with primarily Japanese music, however DJs can play (just about) whatever they want during their time slot(s). I will also be looking for music contributors since although I have about 700GB of just Japanese music, I would like to make the library as complete and up-to-date as possible. At first I am going to limit the music to post-1990, since it would be almost 20 years of various music genres. Also, if there aren’t any DJs, I would make genre-specific time slots for those who prefer certain genres. There will be an on-site request database for people who want to request music, and when online, I’d be taking requests via various instant messenger services.

Well, it’s all a grand dream so I should just take things one step at a time.

Here are the pictures that I promised. The school internet was being good today and didn’t feel like stopping my picture uploads. The blue pictures are due to the bus window tint. The sakura were really pretty there.

A friend from the states was visiting Japan with his family and invited us to join them, so we met up with them at Ginkakuji. So there is a picture of the sign with the whole layout of that temple, and there are some pictures of walking along the tetsugaku no michi (sometimes also seen as tetsugakusha no michi), or “path of philosophy”/”philosopher’s path,” which is near Ginkakuji. The koi in the stream were huge. I took a few pictures, but they are a bit hard to see due to the water’s reflection. Check them out here.
